CNC OperatorPosition Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator to join our clients manufacturing team.
As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications.
Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be crucial for ensuring the efficient and accurate production of high-quality products.
Key
Responsibilities:
CNC Machine Operation:
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines, including lathes, mills, or grinders, to perform machining operations as per blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules.
Tooling and Fixture Preparation:
Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments required for specific jobs.
Material Preparation:
Prepare workpieces for machining, including loading and unloading materials onto CNC machines, and making adjustments as necessary.
Program Input and Editing:
Enter and modify CNC programs using machine-specific software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to production requirements.
Machine Calibration and Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools (e.
g.
, calipers, micrometers) to verify adherence to specifications, and make necessary adjustments or corrections.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during the machining process, such as tool wear, machine malfunctions, or program errors, and take corrective actions to maintain production flow.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine logs, inspection reports, and any necessary documentation for quality control purposes.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and cost reduction.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in CNC machining is preferred.
Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in CNC machine operation and programming.
Strong knowledge of machining principles, techniques, and tooling applications.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Familiarity with G-code programming and machine-specific software.
Ability to accurately use precision measuring tools to inspect and verify the quality of machined parts.
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for performing intricate tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
Good organizational and time management abilities to meet production deadlines.
Solid understanding of workplace safety procedures and practices.
